The Foreign Emoluments Clause, passed by Congress in 1787, prohibits federal officials from accepting gifts, payments, offices, or titles from foreign governments without congressional consent [1].

But if you take money overtly/covertly from a foreign state, which then means that this foreign state gets BILLIONS funneled to it, while Americans are working two jobs just to stand still, then that’s treason” [8].
